Affiliate Marketing Programs: Make Money From Your Blog
If you’ve got a blog or a website, and you’re here reading this page, I’m guessing there’s a fairly good chance that you’d like to make some money from your site.
One way of doing that is by promoting affiliate products that fit your niche. No matter what the subject of your website is, you can be fairly certain these days that there are products that you can promote as an affiliate to earn commissions.
You’re about to discover that there are lots and lots of affiliate marketing programs!
Now some affiliate programs make things easy for beginners. They allow you to sign up and begin promoting their products immediately. Others are quite strict and screen all applicants, checking that applicants meet specific criteria before approving their applications.
If you’re new to affiliate marketing, my suggestion is to go for the easy options initially, unless there’s a specific product that you are really wanting to promote. If that’s the case and you decide to apply to one of the more difficult affiliate programs, make sure you prepare your application well.
Be aware however, that even with your best application, you might find that you still get rejected. (Warning – rejection hurts and can be really, really frustrating – I know from experience!)
So anyway, I’ve compiled list of some of my favourite affiliate marketing programs for you here on this page. They’re suitable for various popular niches and I hope that they’ll help to get you started:
Retail & General Affiliate Programs
Skimlinks.com – Skimlinks makes things really easy so I thought I’d start here. They have over 16,500 merchants that they work with, and when you join up with them, you just add a bit of code to your website then create normal links to their merchants and they create the affiliate links. This makes things sooooo simple and much faster. No affiliate applications, no affiliate links. Easy. And they work with many of the big players like Amazon, Target and Kmart. Huffington Post and some of the other big sites use Skimlinks to monetize their sites. They’re worth a look!
Amazon.com – good commission structure based on number of sales.
Target.com – low commission at under 5% but well known brand and good variety of products.
Shareasale.com – Large affiliate manager with loads of awesome affiliate programs and products.
Commission Junction – cj.com – Another large affiliate manager – loads of affiliate programs and products.
Commissionfactory.com.au – Australian affiliate manager – good number of affiliate programs available.
Clixgalore.com – Another affiliate manager with loads of great affiliate programs and products to promote.
Internet Marketing Affiliate Programs
WPEngine – WPEngine are awesome and so is their affiliate program (read my recent post about them here). Sign up for the WP Engine affiliate program and receive a minimum of $200 per referral!
Siteground – Siteground are also an awesome hosting company (my current choice) and they have a very good affiliate program as well.
Clickbank.com – The largest collection of digital affiliate products anywhere.
JVZoo.com – Lots of digital and downloadable products mostly in the internet marketing niche
Studiopress – Studiopress have great WordPress themes. Become a StudioPress Affiliate and Make Money!
Godaddy.com – Probably the most popular domain registrar on the internet. Affiliate program is now operated via Commission Junction
Hostgator.com – Offer unlimited domain hosting at great prices. Like Godaddy, Hostgator are one of the most well known hosting companies. While Hostgator have their own affiliate program, they also have a program available through Commission Junction and the commission is better there unless you’re making a lot of sales each month. They’re also a preferred partner with Skimlinks and pay well over $100 per signup through them as well. Either way commissions are worthwhile and they provide an attractive package for website owners.
Health, Food & Diet Affiliate Programs
Miessence Organics – These are truly beautiful products. The real deal as far as natural and organic go (I use some of their products). The new Miessence Affiliate Program is now available PLUS they are also a merchant with Skimlinks.
Netrition.com – Good range of products, but limit of $20 commission per transaction.
Iherb.com – Low commission rate but lifetime commissions for each referred customer! Requires an initial purchase to then be given a referral code. Feel free to use my code at checkout to get a discount on your first order – ZZR118 – Great company with huge range of products and fast service) PLUS once again they’re also a merchant with Skimlinks. (I told you Skimlinks was awesome!)
Naturalnews.com – Good range of products and up to 17% commission
This list contains just a few of the best affiliate programs on the internet. Between the single programs, and the many programs available in the affiliate management services that I’ve included, you’ll find that even with this seemingly small list, you will have a massive choice of affiliate programs to get you started.
The truth is that there are literally thousands of affiliate programs available, and that number is growing daily.
